Ship characteristics: The R-class battleships were based on their predecessors, the Queen Elizabeth-class battleships. The armor was modified: the main armor deck was raised by one level, and the main armor belt plating had a uniform thickness throughout its height. The anti-torpedo bulkhead was redesigned. HMS Royal Sovereign entered service at the height of World War I, one day before the Battle of Jutland. Admiral J. Jellicoe deliberately left the battleship in port due to the crew's lack of readiness. During World War II, Royal Sovereign participated in escort missions and intercepted the Italian fleet, and later escorted convoys in the Atlantic. In 1944, the ship was temporarily transferred to the Soviet Union as part of war reparations from Italy. The ship served in the Soviet Northern Fleet until 1949 under the name Arkhangelsk. When the battleship returned to the UK, some of the motors from its gun turrets were used in the construction of a radio telescope in Cheshire.

This battleship is armed with eight 381mm main guns in four turrets. The main guns have a slow turret traverse but, in accordance with British tradition, use improved HE shells. It should also be noted that the guns have indirect ballistics, making it difficult to fire at long range. This makes the ship suitable for medium-range combat. However, the ship also has a unique feature: "Main Battery Reload Booster." Royal Sovereign will be the first battleship at this tier to have this consumable.

The ship borrows another advantage from its counterparts in the St. Vincent branch—namely, its faster acceleration. However, the ship has low speed and maneuverability, which is quite common for battleships at its tier. It should also be noted that this newcomer has a somewhat limited HP pool—this needs to be considered and focused enemy fire should be avoided.

The equipment, in addition to the previously mentioned "Main Battery Reload Booster," is represented by the "Damage Control Party" and "Repair Party" teams.
